Kaldevo was established in Kuala Lumpur in 2021 as an independent wellness resource — a structured editorial record of plant-based formulations and mineral-rich compositions for men in active daily routines.

01 — Origin

Kuala Lumpur, 2021. A catalogue begins.

The Kaldevo editorial project was initiated by a small team of qualified nutrition professionals and independent researchers with backgrounds in whole-food dietary analysis and active-lifestyle nutritional support. The founding observation was straightforward: the men's supplement space in Malaysia lacked a structured, independently maintained reference resource.

Most available resources were either commercial catalogues tied to retailer interests or general wellness guides not specific to the daily nutritional profile of active Malaysian men. Neither format provided the ingredient transparency, sourcing documentation, or batch verification records that an evidence-informed reader would require.

Kaldevo was built to fill that gap. Each entry in the catalogue follows a standardised review structure: ingredient breakdown, sourcing summary, serving guide, and third-party batch verification status. The editorial team operates independently, without commercial affiliation to any supplement manufacturer or distributor.

02 — Editorial Principles

Four criteria govern every catalogue entry.

Criterion I

Ingredient Transparency

Every formulation listed in the catalogue must disclose its full ingredient profile, including active content per serving and the source origin of each botanical or mineral component. Proprietary blends without disclosed ratios are excluded.

Criterion II

Independent Batch Verification

Ingredient profiles in Kaldevo supplements are selected based on published nutritional research and undergo independent batch verification for quality and labelling accuracy. Each batch is accompanied by a certificate of composition from the supplier.

Criterion III

Whole-Food Sourcing Priority

Sourcing prioritises suppliers whose facilities maintain food-grade processing standards. Where peer-reviewed nutritional literature supports a whole-food origin over synthetic production, the whole-food source is the catalogue standard.

Criterion IV

Published Research Alignment

Nutrient role descriptions in the catalogue are drawn from published nutritional research and qualified sourcing documentation. No efficacy claims are made beyond what the existing peer-reviewed body of literature documents for each ingredient.

03 — The Editorial Team

A small, specialist team. Consistent standards.

The Kaldevo editorial team comprises qualified wellness and nutrition professionals, independent researchers in plant-based dietary science, and sourcing specialists with documented experience in the food-grade supplement supply chain.

The team does not accept commercial arrangements with supplement manufacturers. All catalogue entries are subject to a structured peer review before publication. The editorial independence of the catalogue is the primary organisational commitment.

Adaptogen Category Added — Vol. 02

The adaptogen blend category was introduced following a published-research review of Ashwagandha and Rhodiola sourcing chains. Third-party verification protocol formalised. Supplier count expanded to eleven.

Digital Catalogue Expansion — Vol. 04
